No not really. But that is what our son, Camron (10), had chosen to dream about during a recent dream essay submitted into a contest sponsored by Carnival Cruise Line.
The contest is accepting entries now until September 18, 2009, in conjunction with the introduction of an all-new ship called the Carnival Dream. They call it the Virtual Book of Dreams Contest.
Carnival is asking kids ages 7-12 to share their dreams for a chance to win the honor of being named the official Godchild of the Carnival WaterWorks on the new Carnival Dream. The Grand Prize winner and their family, will be treated, this November, to a 2-night cruise onboard the Carnival Dream in addition to participating in a mini-christening ceremony for the Carnival WaterWorks play area. Four finalists will receive a digital camera and other fun Carnival prizes!
And the best part is that Carnival will donate $2 for every entry made into the Virtual Book of Dreams Contest and $1 for every vote to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, up to $25,000. St Jude Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.
So if you know of any kids ages 7-12 who are always dreaming of fun things, have them submit their essay paragraph and illustration to the Virtual Book of Dreams.
When the Carnival Dream hits the seas in November, it will be the only ship with bragging rights to having the largest water slide and water play area onboard a ship.
The idea of having the largest water slide onboard a ship is what inspired our son, Camron, to create a new Olympic Sport. Please visit Camron’s essay. He would love your vote and support!
Vote today and often for your favorites, in effort to help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
We support all kids and their dreams. We hope that they never stop dreaming.
